NHS services are encouraging friends and family of people in hospital not to visit while the severe weather continues.
A spokesperson from NHS Dorset CCG said: “we are keen to keep patients and their friends and family safe, and while the severe weather continues we would advise those thinking of visiting friends and family currently in hospital to stay home unless absolutely necessary. As well as the risk on the roads, the weather could cause visitors to become stranded, so please don’t make any journeys that can be avoided until the weather improves.
“If you need medical care or advice, please consider calling 111, and in an emergency please continue to call 999.”
